In the style of a
riveting autobiographical detective story the author reports
convincingly about his more than 30 years of research on
the origin, history
and analysis of the
enigmatic Ica Stones of Peru, South America.
The Ica stones are ancient
river boulders of various sizes that
have been etched with images
on their surfaces. They
have been excavated from Pre-Columbian Indian burial
tombs in the desert of Southern Peru.
Thousands of them exist in public and private collections. All sorts
of imagery of ancient cultural life appear on these stone 'canvases.'
Many of them show dinosaurs, some
even with humans riding
them or attacking them. The
obvious conclusion observed here is evidence that dinosaurs and man
lived at the same time, in the fairly recent past.
Mainstream
scientific (evolution-based) response to the Ica Stones is
that they must be fakes, made recently by local Indians for
sale to gullible tourists. However,
tourists rarely even know they exist. The public collections of them
are typically hidden from view and private collections are seldom seen or
researched. There have been some fakes made but it
is easy to tell the difference between those and the real burial stones.
Any honest reader should be readily convinced that the Ica Stones are
genuine burial stones from the Indian tombs dating from as
early as 500 B.C. to

On pages 10-11
Dr. Swift made the following statements;
"In the 1970s I was completely confident that
evolution was solid scientific fact, and the Ica Stones were a hoax. In
"Colombo" fashion, I pursued the elusive (Doctor)
Cabrera, peppering him with hot questions about the stones and demanding
documentation as to their origin and history....
I had studied at nine different universities and colleges and obtained
three post-graduate degrees. Having more degrees than a thermometer assured me
that I was absolutely, one hundred percent certain that dinosaurs and man living
together was an urban legend, and the lithic library of Ica
Stones was a big fat fraud."
On page 14 he states, "My quest has been to provide
scientific data and analysis as to the stones'
antiquity or lack thereof. Are the stones young and fake or old and
genuine?" On page 15 he says:
"While I am indebted to Dr. Cabrera and Basilio for valuable information, I
also stand apart from them as an independent investigator attempting to follow
the trail of truth wherever it leads."
From pages 16 and 17:
"The first mention of these incredible stones is from a Spanish priest
journeying to the Ica region in 1535. Father Simon, a Jesuit missionary,
accompanied Pizarro along the Peruvian coast and recorded his amazement upon
viewing the stones. In 1562, Spanish explorers sent some of the stones back to
Spain.
At the end of the book, Dr Swift says, on pages 136 &
137; "I remember being immersed in this Andean genesis one evening, just
before sunset, as I gazed down into a hole broken into a Nazcan tomb. The red
glow of the sunset, burst behind me like a spotlight shooting rays of streaking
light towards the distant desert hills. As I stared into the hole, a shaft of
cylindrical light, shimmering with the dust of the desert shot through the hole.
The shaft, like an arc light on an old vaudeville stage, brightly illuminated a
single Ica Stone at the bottom of the tomb. There on the stone staring back at
me was a dinosaur. I froze, transfixed by this apparition from the past for my
eyes were locked on the eyes of the dinosaur. The dinosaur was carved on the
stone, preserved in andesite and housed in a tomb like a prehistoric insect
trapped in crystalline amber. What this image revealed to me was that
evolutionism’s geologic column and fine tuned intellectual tower of time with
its yawning gap of sixty five million years between dinosaurs and man was merely
a myth. In fact, the only place the tower of time existed was in the mind of the
evolutionist."
