I recently returned from a week in Montana to participate in a brand new dinosaur dig being developed by Christian leaders for everyone in the future to enjoy. Bones from a new Triceratops discovery were unearthed for study, but even more exciting is what was found with them. |

Under the leadership of Mr. Otis Kline of Glendive, Montana, the Foundation Advancing Creation Truth (F.A.C.T.) has launched a continuing fossil discovery and research investigation that will document substantial evidences favoring Biblical interpretations of ancient life on planet earth. The special vision of FACT is to enable interested students of earth science to participate in cutting edge scientific research. The tremendous difference that sets this project apart from others is its unique commitment to Christian principles and the Biblical worldview. |

In cooperation with Creation Research of Australia under the extraordinary leadership of world-renowned creation geology expert John Mackay, it was my great privilege to work in the dirt to expose and analyze evidence that has been hidden for over 4,000 years since the time of Noah’s flood. The related evidences at the site are compelling.
| Over
12 years ago the Lord used a dinosaur fossil field trip to Canada
(hosted by Dennis Petersen, the founder of Creation Resource Foundation)
to inspire Otis Kline to pursue an unusual ministry vision. That vision
would enable students and families from all over the world to join
expert researchers uncovering these exciting treasures from the past and
validate the true history of our planet.
Since then Otis has seen the Lord provide many steps paving the
way to his dream to open a first class dinosaur museum sharing the
“rest of the story” of earth science to thousands of tourists and
students annually traveling along one of the key interstate routes
linking Yellowstone Park with the Midwest. |

As I said, one of the really noteworthy results of the 2004 dig in Montana was the discovery of other things besides dinosaur bones. The reason is simple: those who reject the Biblical history of creation and the flood have accepted evolutionary ideas like the timing error. They believe that flowering plants evolved millions of years after the dinosaurs ruled the world. So what happens when hard evidence shows they existed together at the same time?
Not only do the dinosaur bones appear in a jumbled confused mass graveyard, but they are buried with well preserved fossils of flower and seed bearing plants. When carefully combing through the clay and shale that surrounds the dinosaur bones our team unearthed many fragile compressed specimens of seeds, leaves and fruit. Unripe figs were notably visible along with horsetail reeds, willow and aspen leaves plus sequoia needles and cones. Some of the nicest people from New Jersey, Kentucky, Nebraska, Minnesota, California, Alabama and Texas, worked hard all week with delightfully mild weather conditions (a special blessing for Montana in July). We carefully excavated and mapped every fossil as it was discovered. |

As you can see from the pictures we all had a great time of discovery and fellowship. It was a real treat to have the teaching each evening from veteran creation researcher, John Mackay, from Creation Research in Australia. His talks on geology and sedimentation dynamics were extremely helpful to all of us in understanding why there is so much confusion and misinformation circulating these days. You would be blessed to have that series of lectures on audio CD (contact us for details). If you are interested in joining a dinosaur dig like this in the future, contact Otis Kline directly at fact@midrivers.com or call the CRF office to be notified when the information for next year’s plans are available. Your prayers for this endeavor are deeply appreciated. Think of the potential to use this research and its discoveries as an outreach for millions of students to hear the truth that is often missing from secular treatments about dinosaurs and fossils. God bless you… Dennis Petersen |
